RANDY MOSS MOTORSPORTS AT KANSAS SPEEDWAY

PC*MILER Navigator returns to Randy Moss Motorsports as a partner for the 2010 season beginning with the race at Kansas Speedway on May 2.  The PC*MILER Navigator all-in-one GPS for professional drivers, will have their logo featured prominently on the hood of three Randy Moss Motorsports-prepared Toyota Tundras throughout the 2010 season with veteran drivers David Starr and Mike Skinner taking turns behind the wheel.

The pilot of the No. 81 Toyota Tundra, David Starr, will wear the PC*MILER Navigator colors for the race at Kansas Speedway on Sunday, May 2.  The PC*MILER Navigator will return to the hood of David Starr’s No. 81 RMM Tundra at O’Reilly Raceway Park on Friday, July 23.  Both Starr and the No. 81 RMM Toyota Tundra team finished in the top-10 at ORP in 2009 and hope to visit victory lane this year.

In the 2009 debut of NCWTS competition at Iowa Speedway, Skinner dominated the field by securing the pole, leading the most laps and winning the inaugural race.  On Sunday, July 11, PC*MILER Navigator will adorn the No. 5 Toyota Tundra as Mike Skinner fights to defend his title.

As it is for so many of the people involved in racing, it doesn’t take much to see how NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) driver
David Starr initially got hooked on the sport. From and early age, Starr spent every minute he could hanging out at race tracks watching his father, Jimmy, work his crew chief magic for big name drivers like Tony Bettenhausen, Jr. and Ronnie Chumley. It didn’t take long for Starr to decide to make a career out of racing as well.

Starr got his first chance in a major NASCAR Series in 1998 driving the NASCAR Camping World (formerlyCraftsman) Truck Series.

2002 proved to be a breakout year. Starr earned his first and second NCWTS poles and won the event as Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Perhaps more importantly though, Starr proved that he was a force to be reckoned with every weekend. Leading the standings at times, Starr finished the season in an impressive fifth place in the points battle driving a Chevrolet for owner Wayne Spears.

Starr found immaculate success in 2006 with Red Horse Racing. Taking the checked flag for a victory in the season at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway. Starr second the top-five and 12 top-10 finishes that season on the way to a career high forth in the championship point standings.

With a total of 240 starts and four series victories, Starr will embark on something new for 2010. Making the move to Randy Moss Motorsports, Starr will be paired with the veteran driver Mike Skinner and the multi-truck team and hopes to take his Zachary Toyota back to victory lane.

Mike Skinner’s rise to greatness is unlike that of most past NASCAR Camping World Truck SeriesChampions. Growing up in Susanville, Calif., Skinner did not have the resources that most NASCAR racers had in the South. He didn’t get behind the wheel of a race car until 1976 at Susanville Speedway, a half-mile dirt track in California, but from that moment on, he knew he wanted to make racing his career.

Skinner got behind the wheel of his first NASCAR Cup Series ride at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway in 1986. It took another nine years for Skinner to get another chance to race full-time in one of NASCAR’s top series. Skinner was named the driver of the No. 3 GM Goodwrench truck for Richard Childress Racing in 1995, the inaugural year of the Camping World Truck Series.

Skinner won the first race of the season at Phoenix International Raceway, and his fellow competitors immediately knew he would be a force to be reckoned with every weekend. Skinner went on to post eight wins, 17-top finishes and 18 top-10 finishes enroute to his first Truck Series Championship.

Skinner joined Randy Moss Motorsports in 2009 to drive the No. 5 Toyota Tundra. During his first year with that team, Skinner made his 200th start in the Truck Series. He also won three races, the events as Kansas Speedway, Iowa Speedway and gateway International Raceway. Skinner also continued his impressive record of leading the field to the green by scoring three pole positions. Skinner and his Randy Moss Motorsports crew fought their way to a solid third-place finish in the point standings.
